DRIVEN TO SUCCEED

MARK WEBBER talks about his body like it’s a family car. Lovingly maintained over a long and illustrious career, it’s never let him down, constantly out-performing modest expectations and more fancied rivals. That he regards his body as a rig is perhaps not surprising. You don’t endure 12 years in the cauldron of Formula 1 without learning a thing or two about optimising your body for peak performance. You also get a pretty good handle on where your strengths and weaknesses lie and how to capitalise and counter them accordingly, to give yourself the best chance of success.

“Because I didn’t have the most talent in the world, I saw that as an area where I could make a difference against some of the other guys,” says Webber, who’s talking to MH in Singapore where he’s come to launch the Porsche X BOSS capsule collection, ahead of this year’s grand prix.
