The Back Gun is a law-abiding chap, not knowingly overstepping the legal line and certainly not behind the wheel or with weapon in paw. He has always tipped his titfer to m’learned friends on the bench, particularly after the little misunderstanding following the Varsity Match in 1962 when strong drink had been taken.
