In the Western world attempts by politicians and parliaments to protect the public and control the illegal use of firearms has resulted in a raft of confusing laws and irate firearms owners. This has involved continual posturing by politicians, the media and others who suggest that they know how to fix any potential problems relating to firearms in general.
