IN THE GARDEN WITH SARAH RAVEN

I’m addicted to harvest. I love collecting eggs from the hens, coming back from the garden with an armful of flowers, and filling whopper colanders with salads and veg. It’s a hugely important part of my life. That’s why most of the plants growing at Perch Hill are cut-and-come-again. I can walk outside the door, pick almost to my heart’s content, and with these varieties, hey-presto, only a few days later all the flowers, leaves and delicious things taken straight to the kitchen have grown back again. It’s an ever-filling cup, gardening for the optimist and I couldn’t more passionately recommend it.
