FLAG, SHMAG AT THE ATLANTIS DUNES

When Toyota offers to lend you a Prado for a weekend, you don’t really need to think twice, do you? Throw some 4×4 fun into the mix – and a trip to the Atlantis Dunes – and you have a no-brainer. And so it was that my family of five arrived at the Dunes to see what this 4×4ing on sand business was all about.

Sidenote: I’m no 4×4 expert. Yet, here I was, about to face some seriously tough challenges, surrounded by some of the country’s most serious 4×4ers. Hell, some guys had even driven from Lesotho to take part in this event.

With this in mind, I had two objectives for the day: do not embarrass myself
