How many times have you smashed your elbow paddling? It’s a common occurrence for all paddlers, no matter whether you are creeking, river running or playboating, and the aftermath can be anything from a mild to a prolonged injury. The body’s reaction to traumatizing the elbow and the small, fluid-filled sac known as the bursa at the end of the elbow is the subject of this column.
