MEET THE OUTFLUENCERS

If you’re guilty of mindlessly scrolling through Instagram, you’re not alone. A study in Ofcom’s Online Nation report reveals the amount of time we spend online is increasing, with the average British adult spending three-and-a-quarter hours a day online last year. But while the filtered lens of social media has been slammed for making folk feel inferior, people are wising up to ways it can be used as a source of joy.

One tip? Follow accounts that make you feel good, such as the growing breed of influencers that are posting about the great outdoors – think wild camping, mountain hiking and fjord swimming – and their accounts fill your feed with images of snowcapped mountains and rural lodges. Added bonus: you’ll feel inspired to go outside! We caught up with some of the adventurers.
