Global pecan production in the 2018/2019 season is estimated at more than 140 200t (kernel basis). Mexico and the US make up 92% of global production, with Mexico contributing 52% and the US 40%. South Africa, the third-largest pecan nut-producing region, accounts for 7% of global production.
