The first thing you’ll need to know for sure is the size of your engine. Assuming you are doing your own work, that’s an easy answer you can get with a pocket calculator. (Bore squared times stroke times .0031416.) You’ll also need to know exactly how many CCs are in your head’s combustion chamber. You can take a guess at it, or even trust a manufacturer’s advertised figures if the head is a standard item. Many CNC-ported heads are quite consistent when it comes to repeatability in this area, and you can probably rely on their figures.
