COUNTER-REGULATORY HORMONES
Hormones that work against the action of insulin, raising blood glucose levels in response to hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). The main counter-regulatory hormones are glucagon, epinephrine (also known as adrenaline), cortisol and growth hormone.
