“THE BELL BOYS cheered as I came in from my jog,” says one of the guests at Lake Como’s Grand Hotel Tremezzo as we are having breakfast in the dining room. She has just finished her morning run along the road that snakes around the edge of the lake, a path that is not always for the faint-hearted, depending on the time of day. I can’t help but think the staff’s happiness might also be mixed with a sense of relief at her survival.
