LOCKING UP

Q Once you have fitted a Cruisemaster DO35 drop-on coupling, how do you make it secure when you have uncoupled your caravan? On my existing hitch I can put a bolt and padlock through it to stop people from stealing my van.

A There are a number of options here. Cruisemaster makes a lock for its DO35 which works by inserting a dummy pin into the DO35 and locking the other end. There are other manufacturers’ locking systems available as well. Just Google DO35 anti-theft and check
