WHAT IT’S LIKE TO LIVE WITH... Sunpipes

Because of the restricted, compact floor layout of my latest self-build, our architect specified a couple of sunpipes, also known as solar tubes or tubular skylights. One was at the head of the staircase and the other in a small upstairs cloakroom, both without windows.

Sunpipes are essentially very small roof windows
