Nice article in the October issue about Carroll Shelby and his Cobras. Although I’m not normally a fan of large American V-8s shoved into delicate British sports cars, the story was well written, informative, and fun to read.

After reading the article, my wife and I just happened to catch the 1965 production of When the Boys Meet the Girls.

In the chase scene near the end of the movie, the hero and his ’65 Shelby Cobra were pursued through the Angeles National Forest by mobsters in a ’65 Chrysler Imperial Crown Convertible. That big Chrysler cornered remarkably well for its size.

One of my favorite columns, “Lincolns in the Movies starring Quincy Quimby,” used to appear regularly in , the Lincoln and Continental Owners’ Club. Perhaps Ed Heys could compile a regular feature like “Cars in the Movies.”
