Is a hybrid conversion going to work for me?

We’re considering Q converting our diesel engined boat to diesel electric hybrid propulsion. The boat, currently fitted with a mid-ship BMC 1.5, is a 40-year-old DC 30 Broads cruiser based on the River Great Ouse in St Ives. We’re working closely with a company called Jones Boatyard on the project, where we’ve moored for over 16 years.
