I think it’s fair to say that the vast majority of people involved in today’s scooter scene shared their formative years on the scene in the early/mid-Eighties. Having developed from the Mod-revival of the late ’70s this era offered up the emergence of the Scooter-Boy and Scooterist who; in turn, offered a new and vibrant approach to the scene. Their refreshing and inspiring mind-set gave rise to some of the most diverse and radical approaches to the development of scooters. Choppers, cut-downs, rats, oddities, street racers and full-blown customs started to appear on the scene, which over the years went from strength to strength.
