Before starting this project Andy had previously built a Lambretta with a two-stroke KTM 250 EXC engine, which gave out 50bhp and had a race-style paint job. For his new project he wanted a more reliable, rideable and less thirsty scooter, so a GTS 300 engine seemed like the perfect choice.
