Today’s motorcyclists must find it hard to comprehend the derogatory way Italian bikes used to be regarded. They only need an occasional sight of motorcycle racing on the television to know that firms like Ducati and Aprilia are quite capable of matching the best MotoGP bikes campaigned by the Japanese giants. Ducati’s road bikes are also among the most desirable race-replicas, and Moto Guzzi’s range includes retro roadsters, cruisers and adventure bikes that can challenge anything produced by Harley-Davidson and BMW.
