Trump Threatens Census Delay After Supreme Court Leaves Citizenship Question Blocked

In a defeat for the Trump administration, the Supreme Court leaves the citizenship question blocked from the 2020 census for now, in part because of the government's explanation for why it added it in the first place.
Opponents of the question, who have worked for more than a year to get it removed, are claiming victory. President Trump says he is talking to lawyers about delaying the entire census count to try to get the question back on.
The majority opinion, written by Chief Justice John Roberts, said it "cannot ignore the disconnect between the decision made and the explanation given" by the Trump administration.
