Man found dead in car trunk outside Crete home was beloved Back of the Yards grocery store owner

CHICAGO - Friends and strangers stopped outside Supermercado La Raza in Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood Wednesday to pay their respects to its beloved owner, who was found dead in the trunk of a car outside his south suburban home.

Francisco Aranda, 63, was found Monday in his Chevrolet Impala after being bound and stuffed there during an apparent home invasion robbery at his residence in Crete Township the night before, authorities said.
