It’s not really that far into 2019 as I write this, and I have already attended my first classic meeting of the year.

It was one of those breakfast club-type affairs – start time before 10am and all done by lunchtime. I’d never been to one before and on a bright but bitterly cold January morning, I wondered what I had let myself in for.
