Standoff escalates over Venezuela aid

CUCUTA, Colombia - Venezuelan opposition leader and self-declared interim president Juan Guaido risked arrest to cross the border into Colombia on Friday to appear at a massive benefit concert and increase pressure on Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro to accept humanitarian aid.

Guaido appeared as a Live Aid-style concert - which attracted more than 200,000 people - was wrapping up. Later he spoke at a news conference at a border bridge with Colombian President Ivan Duque, Chilean President Sebastian Pinera and Paraguayan President Mario Abdo.
