Two years ago this month, on Jan. 27, 2017, I was at the U.S. Embassy in Madrid as a consular officer when President Donald Trump signed an executive order he labeled: "Protecting the Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into the United States." It quickly became known as the travel ban.
