CLASS 319

MOVING to Wolverton from Allerton on July 30 was Northern’s No. 319424. The same day saw one of London Northwestern Railway’s additional sets, No. 319215, emerge and undertake a test run to Wembley with No. 319441 in tow for insurance. The pair then ran to Northampton depot.

Soon to be reactivated, No. 319006 was moved by road from Long Marston to Wolverton in late July.

CLASS 320

THE first of the next batch of Class 321 to 320 renumberings/reformations, No. 320404, emerged on August 8. The unit, formerly No. 321404 but now reduced to three cars, was collected by No. 37884 Cepheus, which formed the 5Q95/10.25 Wabtec Kilmarnock-Glasgow Shields.
