Test Fleet: Honda CB1000R+

I’m in a tough spot this month. I’m going to tell my boss that I reckon he’s wrong about a bike. It’s tricky, because over the last 25 years as a top level bike journalist, acting editor Tony Carter has ridden WSB and BSB metal, GP500 race bikes, top-spec MX machines, and pretty much everything in between. That means, he’s, you’ll have no doubt clocked TC’s early criticism of his long term CB1000R+ a couple of issues ago. Praising the engine and gearbox, he went on to slate pretty much everything else about Honda’s new neo-retro machine. Well, I’m here to tell you he’s wrong. Mostly.
