1934 Ford five-window coupe 1966 Ford F100 pick-up 2006 Jeep Cherokee Overland

In my last Behind the Wheel we talked about the ’58 Buick we rescued and got running again, before swiftly selling it via social media before the article was even published. This month’s subject is a truck that has been waiting in the wings for far longer. It’s a1966 Ford F100 Short Bed that previously belonged to a good friend of ours who sadly passed away in August 2015.
David was an Englishman who had emigrated to the US some years ago, but not before he was part of the early British hot rod movement, being one of the first guys to put a Chevy engine in a ’32 Ford on this side of the Atlantic way back in 1968. We had many adventures together over there and he is sadly missed. Some time after he passed away, I was offered the chance to buy this pick-up by the family, though I had nowhere to store it at the time, so it was agreed it would stay in his barn until I was ready to import it. It finally arrived in the UK last October, and over last winter parts were collected and jobs
