Revised CAFE targets?

Since 2011, automakers in North America have had to contend with the toughest Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards ever seen. First proposed by the George W Bush administration and then enacted by the successive government under President Barack Obama, the current standards called for all vehicle manufacturers of cars and light trucks in North America to achieve a fleet-wide average fuel economy of 54.5 miles per gallon US by 2025 or face very significant penalties.
