Make the Pine Burr block

1 Use templates to trace and cut out 32 A shapes from light fabric, 40 A shapes from dark fabric, four B shapes, four C shapes and one E shape from a selection of print fabrics. Use the D template to cut four D shapes from the grey print fabric for the block background.

Sort the A shapes into eight groups of four light shapes and four dark shapes each. You will have eight dark shapes left over — put them aside until Step 4. Sew each light A to a dark one along one long edge to form a four-sided shape. Then join the four pairs
