⁘ 30cm (⅜yd) each of 18 assorted print fabrics (outer block curves) — nine of these fabrics should be darker value and the other nine lighter value⁘ 45cm (½yd) black print fabric (inner block curves)⁘ 10cm (⅛yd) each of 18 assorted print fabrics (star points) — to mimic Chris’ quilt, you need nine pairs of fabrics where each fabric in the pair is the same colour but there is contrast between them⁘ Fat eighths of 18 assorted print fabrics (centre pinwheels)⁘ 60cm (⅝yd) each of nine black print fabrics (block backgrounds)⁘ Assorted scraps to total about 2.4m (2⅝yd) (sashings). Each scrap needs to be at least 5½in x 4in⁘ 50cm (⅝yd) yellow print fabric (top border)⁘ 1.5cm (1¾yd) black tone-on-tone print fabric (side and bottom borders and binding)⁘ 25mm (1in) wide ricrac in assorted colours to a total length of about 8.7m (9½yd)⁘ 2.3m (2⅝yd) extra-wide (275cm/108in) backing⁘ Batting at least 225cm (89in) square⁘ Freezer paper⁘ Paper for foundations — newsprint is ideal⁘ Rotary cutter, ruler and mat⁘ Sewing machine with ¼in foot⁘ General sewing supplies
