Materials

• Assorted print fabrics to total about 5.7m (6¼yd). To make one block, you will need six different fabrics:- one 6in square of fabric #1 (centre square)- two 4in squares of fabric #2 (centre square surrounds)- 10cm (⅛yd) of fabric #3 (centre square frame)- one fat eighth of fabric #4 (curved triangles)- one fat eighth of fabric #5 (long star points)- one fat quarter of fabric #6 (block background)• Four squares, 3in of black and white spot print fabric (cornerstones)• 30cm (⅜yd) black and white stripe print fabric (sashing)• 60cm (¾yd) blue print fabric (border)• 60cm (¾yd) multi-coloured print fabric (binding)• 3.6m (3⅞yd) backing fabric• Batting at least 180cm (70in) square• Freezer paper• Scrap of light cardboard• Spray starch• Rotary cutter, quilter’s ruler and mat• Sewing machine with ¼in foot• General sewing supplies
