It’s only natural

It makes sense to have a few natural remedies you can use on your poultry, but most should be viewed as a preventive rather than a treatment. The rule of thumb with poultry is that if they look ill, they’re likely to be at death’s door.

A sick bird needs the best treatment possible. This may mean a visit to the vet and mainstream pharmaceuticals. Natural remedies can be very effective in maintaining good health, but no sick bird should be allowed to suffer because their owner has lofty ideals and doesn’t hold with conventional treatment.
