THE DISTINCTIVE TURRET OF THE WHIPPET MADE IT EASILY IDENTIFIABLE ON THE BATTLEFIELD AND GAVE ITS CREW REASONABLY GOOD VISIBILITY. HOWEVER, IT WAS ALSO A TARGET FOR ENEMY ARTILLERY.
