CANTON, Ohio - Brian Urlacher was the perfect Bear who came along at the perfect time.
You can't make up something more appropriate for the organization that has defined the position than a player whose last name rhymes with linebacker. The Bears went the last six seasons of the 1990s without a Pro Bowl position player. Then Urlacher arrived as the ninth pick of the 2000 draft. He was more than a player to build a defense around - he quickly emerged as the face of the franchise.
