SEOUL, South Korea _The leaders of North and South Korea met Saturday in an effort to resurrect talks between Washington and Pyongyang, continuing their close coordination despite the apparent breakdown in U.S.-North Korean diplomacy.
White House officials said they were informed of the two-hour meeting in advance, and indicated that they remain open to a direct summit between President Donald Trump and North Korea's leader, Kim Jong Un.
