Q I want to use a tripod for some shots where I need slower exposures, but I don’t want anything too heavy. Which tripod would you recommend I get? Sonny Yudi
A I feel like I’ve conducted a lifelong search for the perfect travel tripod, Sonny. The trouble is that when it comes to tripods, so much depends on where and how you are going to use them. If you are going to be shooting mainly landscapes, perhaps in less than perfect conditions, a lightweight travel tripod generally doesn’t quite cut the mustard. However, if you are prepared to compromise a bit, have a look at the TX series from Sirui.
I’ve only recently come across this brand, but I took a Sirui T-024X Traveler with a C-10S ball head with me on a trip to Indonesia. It ticks all the boxes when it comes to size
