    Girl Detained By Border Patrol After Emergency Surgery Released To Parents

    The U.S. Border Patrol says its officers were required to take a 10-year-old girl into custody when they encountered her at a checkpoint. The ACLU says the government has now released Rosa Maria Hernandez to her parents in Laredo, Texas.

    The federal government has released a 10-year-old girl with cerebral palsy to her family, according to the American Civil Liberties Union.
