About this series
Humanity has fallen from a vast star-faring Empire to a defeated and imprisoned species, hiding in distant corners of space after millennia of brutal violence.
For the past 70,000 years, Earth has been used as a prison for the Human species. Marooned and stripped of their memory, Earth’s inhabitants are completely unaware of their captivity. The Greys closely monitor everything happening - every facet of society is controlled, warped. And all the while Greys throughout the galaxy are tuned-in – watching on entertainment streams, their favorite reality TV.
Rain wasn’t born on Earth, but she doesn’t know that. Her father and uncle have hidden Rain in secret since birth in an eroding sea-town, exiled and fleeing from the Grey Empire that hunts across the cosmos for her. It’s the last place the Greys would look for the child who may be Humanity’s final hope.
Lor is on the run through a derelict factory planet, called Grima, into which her escape pod crashed. She knows exactly what they do here: the Greys mass produce human clone hybrids, ghastly creatures of all shapes and sizes manufactured from twisted DNA, created as novelty pets for wealthy Grey families. Escaped mistakes lurk in the dark broken-down sectors of the planet. Lor is only a young girl but she’s spent most of her life running, and her unique Source powers make her far from defenseless. Lor has to escape the planet and whatever is hunting her. Good thing she has some help from the ‘mistakes’.
Tonjin, an Elite warrior in training, is about to witness the fall of an ancient Human civilization on his home planet, Rien, as the tenacious Ziek virus is unleashed in a surprise attack by the Greys. Humanity is lucky Tonjin trained well; everyone fleeing Rien on the mighty Ark colony ships are going to depend on his quick thinking.
