1
Kendall's managed to wrangle her grandmother's house free and clear except for the rules. No male roommates. But that's ok; with the right ad she'll pull in some girls, their rent and, if she's lucky, she won't have to go to work any time soon. For their part, Anna, Lelani, and Megan all have their reasons for wanting to move in: Anna has got to get out from under her overprotective parents; Lelani can't take another day in her aunt's tiny crackerbox house overflowing with toddlers and Megan needs a place free of her current roommate from Hades. Though they come with assorted extra baggage filled with broken hearts and dreams, they will discover they also have a vast array of hidden strengths. As they struggle to become the women they want to be, they'll find new hope, and maybe even Kendall will learn a thing or two about life, love and the true meaning of friendship.

Megan is trying to decide whether to quit her job and pursue work more meaningful than designing wealthy people's homes. Anna must battle her family's condescending attitudes toward her Caucasian boyfriend, Edmond. And Lelani is trying to work up the nerve to go home to Maui, where her controlling parents are caring for her infant daughter. Lelani invites her roommates to come to Hawaii with her, but far from being a carefree spring vacation, the trip turns into an emotional opportunity for the housemates to confront their deeper fears and work through the most troubling aspects of their relationshipswith surprising and rewarding outcomes.
- Three Weddings and a Bar Mitzvah: A Novel
4
This final installment in the 86 Bloomberg Place series, Three Weddings and a Bar Mitzvah, follows the four roommates in their various stages of romantic relationships. Newly engaged Lelani has returned from Maui to Bloomberg Place with her toddler Emma and is trying to book her wedding date. Unfortunately there are scheduling conflicts for that same weekend. For starters, Megan and Marcus have a family wedding commitment. Anna and Edmond have promised to attend his stepbrother's Bar Mitzvah and, to everyone’s surprise, Kendall has just accepted her “Maui Man's” proposal of marriage and also wants to be wed on that same weekend in June. Let the games begin! To complicate matters, Lelani wants to keep her wedding simple, but Gil (the groom) has a Latina mama with other ideas. Meanwhile Kendall (the pregnant bride) wants to pull out all the stops on her wedding and suddenly her absentee parents are on the scene. A crazed competition for bridesmaids, wedding locations, showers, attention, and a little peace and quiet takes over 86 Bloomberg Place. Yet at the same time, friendships are being forged that will last a lifetime.
