Strong men. Strong women. Dangerous times.   In the aftermath of a conflict with Russia in the arctic. Canada has fragmented. Its provinces, now on their own, live on the edge of chaos and anarchy due to rampant and violent criminal activity. The Premier of Ontario makes a bold but controversial decision. She hires professional security contractors to assist her limited police resources. Steven Grace is the leader of Sabre – a multinational team of former special forces operators. Their mission is to support The Premier's referendum effort that is meant to be first step toward re-uniting Canada. But the going is tough. Organized crime, outlaw bikers, white supremacists, 'adrenaline jihadis', and assassins are all controlled by one man, from behind the scenes. A man who was responsible for Grace's court martial and disgrace during the arctic conflict.   Steven Grace wants redemption. From his former country, and from a father who disowned him after his court martial. And from a former fiancée whom he left behind.

Steven Grace and Sabre Team are still grinding it out.   A sniper at a city hall riot; weapons smugglers in a swamp; a confrontation at a biker bar; bounty hunters; a vigilante group … these are only some of the challenges that Steven Grace and his team of security contractors must deal with as they continue to support the interim government of Ontario. Its Premier wants to re-unite the provinces and territories of a former Canada, but she must first win an election in her own province where various criminal organizations are threatening to push Ontario into uncontrollable chaos. These criminals are secretly led by one of the Premier's ministers, a former army general who was responsible for Grace's court martial and departure from his country.   Steven Grace is a highly competent leader, but his life is not without problems. In addition to the dangerous missions he and his team must deal with, he has a disease that neutralizes his body at inopportune moments, his mother is seriously ill in hospital, his father wants nothing to do with him, and his relationship with his former fiancée is not going well.   All this, and the election is only eight weeks away.    

Steven Grace and Sabre Team are back … with an expanded mission.   To be successful, the team must deal with the ongoing violence and criminality across all of Ontario that is secretly controlled by Grace's nemesis … the sociopathic former army general, Alan Flint. In fast-breaking operations, they must destroy protected weapons caches, deal with the leader of the criminal biker gangs, save Premier Marcus from a serious attempt on her life, stop an elite bomb-maker, and face a group of ruthless mercenaries hired by Alan Flint to disrupt the Premiers Conference organized by Caroline Marcus.    In addition to these challenges, Grace must deal with his mother's failing health; with a father who wants nothing to do with him; and with a former fiancée who appears to be in a relationship with another man.   With all of this facing him, Steven Grace knows his life is going to change.
