About this series

He was sure now, that he had somehow become trapped in this dead body. Which was bad, but was not that bad. It meant that he could maybe exact a small amount of revenge on Luther. He could try at least. He wasn't completely sure it would be successful, but he wasn't convinced it wouldn't be. He had reasoned it simply enough. Luther terrified him, plain and simple, but when he had examined his fear, he had realized that Luther had never been able to touch him. Scare him, yes, threaten to hurt him, yes again, but he had never actually touched him.

So, he supposed, maybe he wasn't able to. Maybe all he could do was threaten and if that was all he could do, maybe Willie could put-a-hurtin' on him. Maybe he could throttle the bastard. Maybe reach right out and strangle him. After all he felt strong, he told himself, in fact he felt... invincible, almost, and what could Luther do? Kill him? Ha, that was laughable, and really, if he could, it would be welcome. He wanted to die, wished he had died, even thought for sure at first that he had.

Either way it was worth a try. If it bought death, real death, it would be a relief, if it didn't, Luther might find himself the one wishing for death, because if he got his hands around his neck, and he couldn't stop him... Well, he reasoned, he just might be able to kill him. Either way, he was convinced it would end everything. His life, hopefully Luther's, all of it, and wouldn't that be sweet?

Genesis Earth is a trilogy of books that document the plight of the peoples of the Earth as she faces a mighty battle of super powers rarely glimpsed by mankind. Facing complete global destruction small groups band together to fight the powers that seem to be pushing the earth toward her final destruction. Will it be a case of too little too late? For some it will be the end of everything, they will give all they have and pass from life into death. But the battle may not be over for them, for many will find themselves rising from the sleep of death only to be pulled back into the battle to save earth and her people. There seems to be no peace in life or in death. No answers for humanity, but faith only in the things they have followed and embraced. On a faraway planet two armies face each other. This battle would determine the outcome of the battle on Earth, and there were no guarantees how it would finish up. In the Heavens, God reigns, offering the paths that can be followed. A beast locked within a pit for eons is bought to the surface in chains to stand before him, and is ultimately loosed on the world. In the first book, Armageddon the foundations begin to crumble and armies amass both on and off the Earth to fight. The battle is set, the lines are drawn, and the people must choose their own paths and then follow those paths to wherever they might lead. When the dust settles, will there be any true winner or only more strife and hardship for the survivors? Genesis Earth is the last chance for mankind to get it right, to start over, before everything is gone forever...

The small group is traveling trying to find others, trying to find the scope of the damage and the survivors... A long, gray, older Lincoln sat at the curb idling, its wipers throwing great sheets of water from the windshield. The darkened side windows gleamed, reflecting back the bright glare of the station lights. Lisa, and several of the others were waving through the glass in an attempt to get the drivers attention. "Where did it come from?" Frank asked, puzzled. "I don't know," she replied. "I turned around and there it was. Aren't they going to come in?" "Maybe they're afraid," Annie said, shrugging her shoulders. "They must see us." Everyone stood silently for a few seconds staring out at the car. It still sat at the curb, and it appeared to Annie that the person or people inside it were not going to come in. Just as she had the thought though, the car reversed, and began to slowly back up towards the entrance to the station. When it reached the station entrance, it pulled slowly onto the edge of the pavement and stopped. "What are they doing," Mike asked, sounding slightly afraid. Everyone else turned towards Frank expecting that he might be able to answer the question. "I don't know," Frank said. "Could be they're afraid like Annie said, I guess." "Might be better to flick off the inside lights," Gary said, in a low tone of voice. "It doesn't look as though they intend to say hello." He peered out at the gray Lincoln. Annie reached over and flicked off the inside lights. Almost immediately the Lincoln's headlights came on and it pulled ahead slightly, angling the beams into the station interior. The lights flicked up to high beams, flooding the interior in harsh bright light. Almost as soon as the lights had flicked up however, they winked out. Tiny spots floated in front of Frank's eyes and he quickly blinked them away. The car was backing slowly into the road, away from the station. "What the hell is he doing?" Dave asked, looking at Gary. "What the hell was that all about?" he asked again. "Whoever it is, they're curious, I think," Gary said. "I didn't much like that either," Frank said as he looked over at Dave. Bob stood beside him, his eyes locked on the car. Once the Lincoln reached the roadway it pulled slowly up to the stop sign at Route 250 and once again sat idling, its lights still off. Frank tried squinting his eyes tighter, to see into the darkened side windows, but they almost seemed pitch black, like a limousine, he thought.
