Ashe Sawyer continues her journey to becoming a published author. The daily pressures of improving her writing and a job that leaves little room for sanity continue to act as hurdles in her way; however, Ashe begins to undertake a brand-new challenge: Renji Keita's jealousy over Ashe's newfound friendship with her co-worker, Jase. As Jase Grey attempts to get closer to Ashe, it triggers a reaction within Renji. After struggling to overcome and accept a turbulent past between himself and Ashe, the last thing Renji needs is someone driving a wedge between the two of them.

A dark past has been revealed. Renji finally decides to have the long-awaited talk with Ashe about their memories that have once been concealed in his mind. As the two of them relive their lives, they experience both the joy and pain that shaped them into who they are today. However, their journey is just beginning. Not for just Ashe and Renji, but for others as well. Ashe takes on a brand-new challenge in the form of her very first writing competition! As she gears up for the competition, life continues to pound away on her without any remorse. Through it all, Ashe discovers that she has a knack for problem solving... whether it is trying to patch things up between Kelsey and her son, or playing cupid between two of her competition rivals! Ashe's journey is far from over as she soon learns that a path to becoming an author isn't a simple, straight line. Here, she will have to navigate the many turns her path throws her way.

The Competition Continues! Ashe heads into the second round of the writing compeition but she soon learns that more than a top prize is on the line. A series of unfortunate events rattles Ashe to her very core as she deals with an old rival, a still-developing relationship with Renji, and the continued headaches from dealing with a job she would much rather quit.

As the writing competition comes to its conclusion, Ashe must turn the page and forge ahead, regardless of the outcome. However, the next chapter in her life proves to be a difficult one as she looks to challenge herself in ways she hadn't done so before. While she meets those challenges head-on, little does she know that events are happening in the background that could bring all of it to a grinding halt! Ashe is about to be put to the test!

A new page has turned for Ashe and right when she is about to start the next step to achieving her dream, her life is derailed by an absolute nightmare. Facing this nightmare head-on, Ashe needs to overcome one of the biggest obstacles and challenges in her life; however, what awaits her on the other side is a lingering effect that haunts her to her very core. With a new chapter opened up to Ashe, she continues to deliberate on how to progress it. Frustration begins to set in and it causes Ashe to question her abilities as a writer.   Ashe isn't the only one suffering from frustration as Saraya cannot understand why she cannot improve as an illustrator. This leads her down a path with new challenges for both her and Kaden.   Through it all, it's up to Ashe to become a problem-solver yet again; however, when everyone's problems begin to fall on her shoulders, it's leaving her little time to focus on her own.

A major chapter in Ashe's life closed and another one opened up in front of her filled with unprecedented opportunity. However, as Ashe begins the next chapter, so does Renji. After his encounter with Jase, Renji has begun to see life in a whole new light. He aims to become more self-dependent but is it something Ashe can deal with?
