Disrupted Equilibrium Series

In a race against time, survivors of a terrible global disaster must struggle against treacherous creatures and each other before it is too late. Luke, a survivor from the wastelands outside Hampton Flats, finds a treatment holding the mutations in his body at bay. He has learned to cope with his condition and thrive, leading a productive life and helping to build a new community. We enter Luke's life as the device that has allowed him to live normally among the other survivors is breaking down. The Chamber, the only known treatment for victims of mysterious creatures roaming the lands outside, will soon fail. There is only one chance to fix the device, allowing Luke and many others to stay alive, or at least continue being human. With people he trusts, Luke sets out for another settlement that may hold the answers. Roger is a man trying to get by as best he can. Living in the small community of Jacksonville, Roger and his partner scavenge the countryside for resources to sustain themselves and their people. Finding a woman who has just crashed her car on their way back from scavenging, Roger and his partner, Jensen, decide to rescue her. Little do they know she will prove troublesome beyond their imagination. Healed up from a recent attack outside the gates that nearly took his life, Roger's world is turned upside down when a monstrous creature attacks Jacksonville. His community lies in ruins, and his friends are missing. Roger agrees to join Luke in tracking down the mysterious woman who fled during Jacksonville's attack and find the one man who may be able to fix The Chamber. Join along with these reluctant heroes in their quest, overcoming dangerous beasts and themselves to stay alive in the face of impending doom.

Before End Game, people live their everyday lives, doing simple things and being human. Cowboy isn't like most people. As an elite hitman, his days are anything but routine. The Group has tasked Carly with managing the development of a formula that, once unleashed, will prompt a total meltdown of civilization. There is a schedule. Members of The Group have secured refuge for themselves and those doing their bidding on the outside. A sudden attack on The Group's secret facility in Belgium puts all plans in upheaval, leaving the members scrambling for safety.  Chaos is racing toward them, and everyone else as nations fail in a global domino effect of pandemonium. Outlaws, murderers, and strange mutants quickly assert a new hierarchy in the law and order vacuum. Cowboy, unknowingly executing targeted individuals at The Group's behest, receives a cryptic warning from his handler. With little time, he rushes to secure his well-being.  Unaware of the full extent of his unique abilities, Cowboy begins to experience strange sensations he cannot explain as mutated berserkers spread across the country. Facing a world overrun with the bizarre and terrible consequences of The Group's disrupted plan, Cowboy, Carly, and others must navigate a new reality where death or worse lurks around every corner.      

A mysterious contagion devastates civilization. Numbers of infected swell beyond measure, and they are running out of victims upon which to feed. Outlaws roam free, plundering naïve survivors in search of shelter and protection from massing herds of ravenous predators. Cowboy discovers awakened abilities to control the infected, complicating his shadowy past and uncertain present. Gloria establishes a refugee camp, enlisting Cowboy to protect the few from the many. Luke and his father take flight, joining others on a cross-country trek, fleeing scramblers and criminals. Sebridge, a devious colonel plotting his own course amidst the turmoil, holds Carly and Marik captive. Roger wages a solitary battle, matching wits against psychotic scoundrels and ravenous berserkers. Tentacles extending from their fingertips, the infected clutch their prey atop the head, curling themselves around the torso. Incapacitated by a jolt of chilling electricity, helpless victims fall, left either dead or turned themselves. Bodies warped by a sinister force, these twisted monstrosities roam free, pulled towards their victims by tendrils of light. With an insatiable hunger for mind energy to sustain them, they bring chaos and destruction wherever they go. Known by different names to the various groups fighting and fleeing from them, the infected prove complex and varied. Fearsome berserkers, cunning hunters, and even more powerful Nameless creatures haunt the land, each one more formidable than the last. A chilling sense of dread overtakes the world as destinies align, setting in motion an unstoppable fate. Survival of humans and The Turned hinges on a frightening, unyielding reality. Cowboy must figure out his place and purpose among humans and the infected. Luke faces unimaginable loss and finds new allies along his path. Carly does everything she can to outlast Sebridge and his maniacal intentions. Roger defies all odds, fighting to live as those around him perish. Carly navigates the sadistic machinations of her sociopathic captor while decay and turmoil tear away the last vestiges of civility. Colonel Sebridge relies on his hybrid pet Ramirez to sow unease amongst the small group of prisoners. Marik's disgust of Ramirez goes too far as he finds himself made an example of when Ramirez feeds on him to show the consequences of disobeying the Colonel's rules of conduct. As the infected grow more resilient and intelligent, Sebridge must abandon his stronghold when advanced mutants lay waste to the military base under his command. He secures the artifact in his flight from danger, dragging Carly and Ramirez along for the ride. Sebridge makes himself, and those around him targets for another devastating attack when he brings the artifact and the pseudo-artifact together in one location. The artifact calls to all infected beings, promising its limitless power to any creature able to reach it. The pseudo-artifact, a quantum computer infused with knowledge gained by analyzing data from the artifact, becomes a nexus of chaotic potency yet to mature. Both objects will shift the course of reality for all time. Cowboy faces an opponent he can't defeat. With no memory of the battle afterward, Cowboy finds himself alive thanks to his physiological enhancements. Cormac, an old friend from Cowboy's distant past, shows up in his life to teach Cowboy how to hunt and kill the Wyrtevore. Together they track the one that stole Cowboy's memory, finding themselves outside the gates of a veritable fortress holding the artifact and the pseudo-artifact. Luke and Gavin fall prey to a sadistic gang of vigilantes who force them to fight scramblers to the death for sport. Taking a desperate gamble to escape with only their lives, Luke and his best friend encounter Jacob. Jacob leads a crew of glorified bandits, fancying themselves protectors of justice in a lawless world. Working their way out of Jacob's debt, the two hapless wanderers find refuge in the well-protected township of Hampton Flats. Things are going well for Luke and Gavin in their new home. They live content and find their purpose in joining the Search & Clear team. Tragedy strikes hard when on a routine S&C shift, their old captor shows up out of the blue. Luke suffers yet another devastating loss, wounding him to the core. Genevieve and Chloe arrive at The Mountain. To her surprise, she finds an old colleague occupying her fortress of solitude with his daughter. An uneasy truce comes out of their initial conflict. When Conrad and his brother show up to claim The Mountain for themselves, Genevieve and Sal Bernardi's precarious agreement goes awry.
