About this series
The entire story in one book!
Joe Reilley has finally had enough. He's leaving his lunatic girl friend Liz, who he's lived with for three years. After a short business trip to Amsterdam for the software company he co-owns with Liz's brother, he's heading to Innsbruck, his former hometown, to catch up with his sister, Sarah, and the old friends there. As it happens, there is a reunion weekend coming up anyway...
What Joe blocks out when he thinks going back to Innsbruck is such a great idea, is Danielle...
Three years after their breakup because of his cheating with Liz, Joe and Danielle are forced to deal with each other during a weekend reunion of their friends in Innsbruck.
This happens just as Joe thinks all he needs is peace and time to recuperate from the relationship of hell he's just left behind, and D has a lot to deal with in regard to an interesting job opening in London and her clingy ex-boyfriend who just won't let go.
And while Sarah, Joe's sister and D's best friend, is still worrying she might get caught between the two once again, things already take some unexpected turns.
CAN YOU MEND IT? is not just a close-to-real-life story of two people who thought they were done with each other and find that they're not, it's also about the complex and sometimes annoying relationship between brothers and sisters and the problems ex-partners can cause even after it's long over.
Follow Joe and/or Danielle through a few exciting weeks in their life that take them to European locations like Innsbruck, Munich, Amsterdam, London and Florence.
Titles in the series (3)
- Can You Mend It? Part 2: Torn
How does Joe handle what D told him? Will D take the job in London? Can Sarah just accept that Jack might be in love with someone and she doesn‘t know who it is? What is Joe going to do about his Liz-problem? Or is he just going to let her get away with what she did? Join D, Sarah, Joe and Jack once again as they face the difficulties of love, job decisions, breakups and getting along with nosy siblings. For Joe and D, of course, the main question is: Is this actually love and could it work this time?
- Can You Mend It?: Part 3: Trust
Joe and D do realise that what they feel for each other might be the real thing. But with all that's going on, can giving it a second chance actually work? After a night together, things seem perfect, but then Joe doesn't hear from D when he is supposed to. What happened with Pete? Relationships are never a straight shot. Along the way there are curves and bumps and turns and forks – and some roadblocks. In Joe’s and D’s case that translates to: Career decisions, family obligations and names such as Pete, Christine and Liz... Where Joe and D end up – and if they end up there together – very much depends on the choices they make along the way. This last part of the series starts out in Innsbruck, Austria, but takes us to Amsterdam, Salzburg and Florence as Joe and D try to figure out what they want and how far they are willing to go for it.
- Can You Mend It?: Part 1: Reunion
Joe Reilley has finally had enough. He's leaving his lunatic girl friend Liz, who he's lived with for three years. After a short business trip to Amsterdam for the software company he co-owns with Liz's brother, he's heading to Innsbruck, his former hometown, to catch up with his sister, Sarah, and the old friends there. As it happens, there is a reunion weekend coming up anyway... What Joe blocks out when he thinks going back to Innsbruck is such a great idea, is Danielle... Three years after their breakup because of his cheating with Liz, Joe and Danielle are forced to deal with each other again during a weekend reunion of their friends in Innsbruck. And while Sarah, Joe’s sister and D’s best friend, is still trying to decide how to handle a weekend caught between the two, things already take some unexpected turns. Although Joe thinks that all he needs is peace and quiet and time to recuperate from the relationship of hell he just walked out of, and despite the fact that D has her hands and her mind full with things such as applying for a job in London to get some distance between herself and a clingy ex-boyfriend, seeing each other again has quite an impact. And even if that impact is neither welcome nor desired, it is still impossible to ignore. Suddenly Joe, D and even Sarah find themselves on an emotional roller-coaster ride that they could have easily done without....
