About this series
Benjamin King never yet met a woman he couldn't charm. Until he strides into the village of Hatherden under an assumed name and meets the Viscountesses Dunstan. Not one of the three is captivated by his winning ways. Ben, though, needs to ingratiate himself into the family as he believes proof of a significant inheritance due him is located in their home. To his surprise and good fortune, he recognizes the youngest viscountess as a childhood friend. Ben proposes they enter into a fake courtship so he can search the house.
Harriet Rutledge, the widowed Lady Dunstan, chafes under the strictures of the guardian of her young son and her mother-in-law. Though she must tread carefully where they are concerned, she agrees to help her old friend. However, under no circumstances will she pretend to be courted by him. Harriet suggests a different ruse to enable Ben to find what he seeks.
Amidst late-night searches, the two discover unfettered passion, and perhaps something more. But for Hattie, the risk of loving a young rogue comes with a steep price. Ben is willing to make sacrifices for his lady's heart, but can he prove to Hattie that the cost of love is always worthwhile—when shared?

- His Duchess: His & Hers, #1
1
First in the new His & Hers series Victoria Foster needs a husband. Orphaned, nearly penniless, saddled with an indifferent guardian plus a cousin intent on sabotaging her matrimonial hopes, she cannot afford to be a wallflower. Unfortunately for her, the only man in her path is a stuffy, well-above-her-touch duke. But with every fateful encounter, she glimpses more and more of the lonely, kindred soul behind the duke's decorous demeanor. Charles Danforth, Duke of Taviston, is seeking a wife. Nothing if not methodical, he determines a set of qualities his future bride must possess—neither love nor passion makes the list. Above all, she must be free of scandal so as not to tarnish the family legacy. Soon enough though, Taviston's well-ordered life, impeccable social standing, and not-so-impenetrable heart are in jeopardy. What's an exceedingly proper duke to do when he finds himself embroiled in a scandal of his own making?
- Her Rake: His & Hers, #2
2
Lord Peyton Danforth—he of the charming smile, cheerful disposition, and hidden resentment of his brother, the Duke of Taviston—appears to live the exhilarating life of a rake. However, his lifelong pursuit of owning his own estate and escaping the long shadow of his brother is drastically altered when he saves a damsel in distress, and then impulsively proposes marriage to her. Lady Tessa Colvin—she of the incomparable looks, headstrong nature, and ruined reputation—has been sorely tried by the men of her world. After being long ignored by her father, kidnapped by ruffians, and threatened by her ex-fiancé, she's only too willing to escape into marriage with the seemingly heroic Lord Peyton. Alas, neither of them is quite what the other thought. Bound together in wedded misery, this desperate and lonely pair must somehow learn to trust one another enough to combat continued attacks by Tessa's former fiancé, withstand estrangement from their families, and embrace the love that springs up between them.
- His Diamond: His & Hers, #3
3
LOVE & LIES At eighteen, Lady Amelia Colvin managed to find, and then lose, her one true love in a matter of days. Lose being a euphemism for "he escaped with undue haste to the Continent at the first opportunity." After years of suppressing her romantic side and honing her practicality, she's on the verge of marrying her good friend, for convenience's sake. Lord James Danforth, one of His Majesty's more successful spies, returns to England after three years to capture a home-grown assassin. A man of few words but much passion, he has always regretted his decision not to marry Amelia. While tormented by her recent engagement, James is determined to behave as the proper gentleman he is—until he suddenly finds himself thrown into a triangle of romance, suspicion, and betrayal with Amelia and her fiancé. As these two fiercely loyal individuals—he to his country, she to her friend—race to save the prime minister's life, can they also reawaken their once burgeoning love and learn to trust one another? *Previously published as A Spy's Honor. Characters and storyline have been altered, though not significantly.
