About this series

There I was outside, Jua lawaka ni kama lalipwa mshahara...I never understood though why the Embakasi solar was always so merciless, esp around pipeline areas. I needed to catch the quickest matatu to town, at least by 3:30pm niwe nikipumua "fresh" air ya sibidii (I mean cbd). However, I did my best trying to evade the prying touts who always know where you're headed to even before uwaambie (at least in their minds) "cheki brathe, mi siendi..niko tu hapa" I told off a number of them who tried a push-n-pull game on me. They had to go look for other ' undecided weaklings'. You never make a mistake of getting yourself comfortable in the hands of those guys. Some have an unmatched gift in completely destroying your day.

So I kept looking side by side, na tusidanganyane...njaa pia ilikuwa ishabisha na kujikaribisha kama mwenyeji. Acha niwaambie, you can try to resist n ignore hunger pangs but only for as long as you have no lips for evidence of whitened roughened cracks (but thank Covid, masks will always save you the agony). So kucheki hivi around roadside...eclairs sweets, I never leave these behind, not at all (those close to me can attestify to this bila mapendeleo). I grabbed around 4 of them, at just a mere 10bob cost...enough to earn you freshness ukiwa pale ndani ya mask yako...otherwise utavuna mavuno ya harufu yako uliyopanda ndani ya mask...ehee...am telling you...n if you think am lying then think again, then simply immerse yourself in that mask without freshness.
