About this series

She's not interested…

Deidre Bennington is only at Ridder University to appease her demanding mother. After two years volunteering in Costa Rica, she's fulfilling the agreement she made with her parents: to get her degree and go to med school. It doesn't matter that she has no real interest in medicine, that she doesn't want to live up to her mother's expectations or her sister's life. All that matters is to be good enough for them.

When the volatile hockey goalie catches her attention, Deidre wonders where she wants her life to go and who she really wants to be.

He's not getting involved…

T.J. Halston does not do relationships. They aren't worth it, and he doesn't want to play games outside of hockey. As a drafted player, he's deferred the last year to play for Ridder U, just not by choice. His father is a professional hockey coach, and a grade A jerk. Unfortunately, T.J. was drafted by his father's organization. He can't get away from dear old dad, his reputation, or his hateful words.

Then Deidre storms into his life. T.J.'s not interested in anything other than a random hookup, but Dee is different. She sees through his masks and walls.

Can T.J. put aside his trepidations, or will Deidre put a full stop on any chance they have for a future?

She's ready to put it all on the line…   Josie spent the last four years watching her best friend Evan bag puck bunnies. Sure, she judged him for it but never cared. Until now. After her ex pointed out that she runs to Evan in her darkest hours, and sometimes even her brightest, she realizes the truth: she's in love with her best friend. And she can't watch him score through another girl's five-hole any longer. Not when she wants in the game.   He doesn't even see it coming…   Evan's first thought as soon as the game ends is finding Josie. Since they met, they've dissected his performance on the ice. He relies on her more than his coach. More than he relies on anyone else really. So when he finds Josie after winning the big game, he's elated to celebrate their victory… until her confession checks him headfirst into the boards.    Can Evan handle Josie's affection or will he walk away and lose it all?

She's too trusting...    Elora has never been so cold. Growing up in the tropics did not prepare her for a new life in Minnesota. For the first time, she's living in a place that doesn't float and her best friend isn't also her family. Everything is a new experience, a new adventure. Including hockey. The arena is freezing, but the game is fierce, fast, and fascinating. She can't take her eyes off the action… or off a certain player.   He's wary of everyone...   Wyatt is done with puck bunnies. He just wants to play, go to class, and be left alone. The opposite sex dishes out nothing but misery. School and hockey must come first. Then he meets Elora, and she's totally clueless about hockey, about school, about a little bit of everything. And she's the opposite of the ice queen who crushed his heart. But he's not ready to light that lamp.    When Elora suffers a crisis of confidence, Wyatt's willing to help her regain her faith in people, especially him. Even if it takes confronting his past to have a future.    Can Wyatt show Elora that he's the man she thinks he is or will they end up being two ships passing in the night?
