Vom an Sophokles erinnernden antiken Tragödien-Fragment rund um Phaëton (das Thema der heutigen Klimaaktivisten in seinen mythischen Kontext gerückt) bis hin zum Sprechmusik-Stück einer Hymnen-Collage wider den Nationalismus reicht der Bogen, der historische-regionale und weltpolitische, religiöse und zutiefst menschliche Themen umspannt. Bis zum Bänkelsang, zu Projekten für und mit Kindern und einem boulevardesken Libretto für eine Cross-Over-Opera rund um die "Affaire Mayerling" führen die dramatischen Formen. Sehr spannend die Darstellung starker Frauen, die sich durch einige der Stücke und Szenen zieht; "Die letzte Party" ist beispielsweise ein modernes letztes Abendmahl mit 14 Frauen im muffigen Schwarzwaldtal kurz vor der 2000er Jahrtausendwende - unbedingt lesenswert.
Sehr schön, dass uns der Autor in einem autobiografischen Vorwort in seine Bezüge und Zugänge zum Theater, zur Bühne und dem Spiel zwischen Realität und Fiktion blicken lässt, uns teilhaben lässt, wie der moderne Schriftsteller neben dem prallen Leben in anderen sozialen und beruflichen Kontexten immer wieder die Welt im Wort, im Vers, in der Szene und in größeren Handlungssträngen fiktional gestaltet, um aufzukären, Hintergründe gebrochen als Denkanregung anzubieten, oder um einfach nur zu unterhalten.
Nach der "Herrenalb-Trilogie" (salamandra edition Bd. 7) - eine Mythenkomödie, ein spätmittelalterliches Weltgerichtsspiel und eine Kriminalkomödie aus der Weimarer Republik umfassend - fächert Siegfried Carl in diesem Band seine noch weiter reichende, auch in kleineren Formen wirkende und im Dienst der Musik stehende inhaltliche und formale Vielfalt auf.
Siegfried Carl
Autor von moderner wie streng formgebundener Lyrik sowie mehrerer Theaterstücke, Libretti und etwas Prosa. Einiges ist veröffentlicht, aufgeführt, vorgelesen. Er hat sein 70stes Lebensjahr hinter sich und stellt Veröffentlichtes und Unveröffentlichtes gesammelt der breiteren Öffentlichkeit vor. Je mehr Bände das Licht der Welt erblicken, um so mehr formt sich das Bild eines Menschen, der neben der beruflichen Weitläufigkeit seines Alter Ego sein Leben der Dichtkunst, der Poesie gewidmet hat. Der Literat, ja Poet Siegfried Carl lebt dann und wann, da und dort - Wanderer zwischen den Welten der Emotionen und des Intellekts. Er liebt Wein, Weib, Gesang und ist dennoch sein Leben lang ein liebenswerter Narr geblieben. Impetus des Schreibens ist dem Autor seit langem unter anderem eine Idee junger Idealisten, um 1795 vorsichtig tastend von Hegel, Schelling und Hölderlin im sog. 'Ältesten Systemprogramm des deutschen Idealismus' entworfen: "Man kann in nichts geistreich sein, selbst über Geschichte kann man nicht raisonnieren - ohne ästhetischen Sinn. Hier soll offenbar werden, woran es eigentlich den Menschen fehlt, die keine Ideen verstehen, - und treuherzig genug gestehen, daß ihnen alles dunkel ist, sobald es über Tabellen und Register hinausgeht. Die Poesie bekömmt dadurch eine höhere Würde, sie wird am Ende wieder, was sie am Anfang war - Lehrerin der Menschheit; denn es gibt keine Philosophie, keine Geschichte mehr, die Dichtkunst allein wird alle übrigen Wissenschaften und Künste überleben." Dichtung ist menschliches Grundlebensmittel - Dichten ist Dasein.
