About this series
Cass is trying to reconcile with the fact she has a darkness deep within. And as if that's not enough, the dark ones in the sea are summoning her.
Laurel is still missing. Kai is… who knows what's going on with Kai. All she knows is that he's confusing as hell.
And still, he insists on accompanying her and helping her. Even though he damned near killed her.
This seems like a match made in hell, doesn't it?
Add to that the missing relic that they need to destroy in order to eradicate the dark ones. So, what's our trio to do—oh, yeah, Sophia's insisting on being one of the party! They will visit the Sinclair Castle in the Scottish Highlands to find out how to destroy the missing stone. And meet Kai's parents. Not quite so thrilling.
So, back to the whole match made in hell…

Cassandra's known she's a mermaid since her tweens, more or less. But how did Cass come to be one? That's a mystery that she's got to solve. The only clue to the puzzle is her mother's name. So she's going to trace her mother's footsteps, all the way to Mettleshire in England. There, she's hoping to attend the same university and learn something—anything—about her mother. To her surprise, day one in at Hollowell University in Mettleshire starts with a mysterious—and hot—stranger saving her life and with another student recognizing her because evidently, Cass is a mirror image of her mother. Unfortunately, Mettleshire seems to produce more questions than it does answers as she muddles her way through friends, enemies, and frenemies. The least of which is a hot guy who makes her feel homicidal. No, really. He does. Except he saved her life. Go figure. Now she's got to deal with the darkness of the ocean and its mysterious summons which seem to infiltrate her nights.
- Shattered Deeds: Darkness Summons, #2

Cassandra Underwood's a mermaid—a siren, to be exact. She's still in Mettleshre hoping to learn about her mother. Unfortunately, she's encountered a complication. Kai Sinclair, who is a species that is not exactly friendly toward sirens. A ferocious hunter with an ancient vendetta against an entire species As if that wasn't complication enough, now she's gone and saved his life. Oh, and one more complication, as if those weren't enough. She's discovered she's one of the dark ones. Dark ones are responsible for the dark deeds which Kai is permitted to kill without repercussion. Not cool. Why is the universe determined to make these two hate one another? Possibly even kill each other? Something darker is brewing on the horizon, but for now, she's willing to pretend that everything is fine. She isn't foolish enough to believe that the dark ones who came after her are gone forever.
- Shattered Soul: Darkness Summons, #3

Cass doesn't know if she's a light or a dark siren. Wait, what? Oh, no. And she's learned too many secrets about her family. More than she ever wanted to know. Now her cousin's been abducted and Cass is the only one who seems to care. She's got to find her missing cousin. Of all the people to have help her, did it have to be Kai Sinclair? The hot beast who seems to be nice to everyone but her. Okay, well, truthfully, she'd like to make his blood boil until he's dead. Yeah, those aren't the makings of a good friendship, are they?
