About this series

This is the long-awaited fourth bundle of the hit series, with books 10 – 12 all in one place.

In 'Waltzing Matilda', Daisy's least-favourite village resident is accused of a murder that takes place during the village fete. Reluctantly, Daisy agrees to investigate, and finds herself up against a heartbreaking back-story that began forty years ago.

In 'The Wiltingham Incident', Daisy's curiosity ensures she and Aidan become embroiled in a strange incident neither of them believe could ever happen in Great Wiltingham!

'The Pointing Finger' tells the story of the finger pointed at Daisy, accusing her of being a traitor. Needless to say, she takes it upon herself to investigate her own previous life, and gets whisked off somewhere she never expected to go!

Do check out the whole Daisy series, and everything else we create, on the rtgreen website.

Daisy: Not Your Average Super-sleuth! Too Close for Comfort: Daisy Morrow, #2

(This book was previously published as 'The Case of the Exploding Dolly-trolley')   Essentially-English, almost-certainly quirky, and definitely a little crazy, come and meet our feisty R.E.D. (Retired Extremely Daisy) heroine, and find out why she's such a hit with readers!   "One of the best cozy mysteries I've ever read!"   "A real breath of fresh literary air!" According to Daisy, nothing is ever quite what it seems. In her case, that's the truest thing ever spoken! Moving to the village a few miles from Kings Lynn in Norfolk a year ago, after a very unfortunate incident in London, she believed village life was the best option. Now she trundles around on a mobility scooter (suitably upgraded by Aidan), even though she really doesn't need to. She's adapted to country life quite well, although she rather unkindly refers to the beautiful village of Great Wiltingham as the 'place people go to wilt'. Daisy is seventy-one now, and not at all like a pensioner is supposed to be. It could be something to do with the career she had before retiring. For some strange reason, trouble seems to follow her around. That's not about to end...   The Second One: Too Close for Comfort   There's not many people who get to investigate their own murder!  It's been two weeks since Daisy brought Finn's aristocratic world crashing down, and village life has reverted to as normal as it ever gets where she is concerned. But then one morning it all changes, in a very disturbing way.  To begin with, Daisy believes someone from her past is responsible. Before she retired, she had a job very few people have, after all. But then a clue from an unexpected source makes her wonder if it might be someone much closer to home.  Once again she becomes the worm on the hook, much to Aidan and Sarah's horror. But for Daisy there's no choice, because this time it's just about as personal as it gets…   Check out Daisy, and everything else we do, on the new rtgreen website. And enjoy!

Daisy: Not Your Average Super-sleuth! The Root of all Evil: Daisy Morrow, #1

An innocent rosebush, uprooted in the middle of the night, reveals a horrific secret. Determined to bring those responsible to justice, Daisy embarks on a dangerous trail that grows darker and darker with each unexpected turn.   Essentially-English, almost-certainly quirky, and definitely a little crazy, come and meet our Norfolk-based R.E.D. (Retired Extremely Daisy) heroine, and find out why she's such a hit with readers of all ages.   "One of the best cozy mysteries I've ever read!" "A real breath of fresh literary air!" Retirement to a sleepy East-Anglian village doesn't go quite as Daisy hoped, after a seemingly- insignificant event triggers something very significant indeed. A mystery to solve is the last thing she expects to stumble across in a sleepy village a few miles from Kings Lynn in Norfolk. To her surprise she's adapted to country life quite well, although she rather unkindly refers to the beautiful village of Great Wiltingham as the 'place people go to wilt'. According to Daisy, nothing is ever quite what it seems. In her case, that's the truest thing ever spoken. She's nothing like a pensioner is supposed to be. It could be something to do with the career she had before retiring… or perhaps because she wishes she'd never had to leave it behind at all. For some strange reason, trouble seems to follow her around. It's been a peaceful twelve months settling into village life, but that's about to come to an abrupt end... 'The Root of all Evil' is the first book in the long-running Daisy series. Check out the entire series on the new rtgreen website. While you're there, have a look at our 1920's historical series too, 'The Sandie Shaw Mysteries'. Take a break from the world around you, just for a while. It's one of the village's oldest residents, Walter Riddell. A cheery, friendly man, he's ninety-two years old, and has a unique ability to transport himself in his mind back to what he sees as his glory days, when as a young man he worked as an Air Raid Warden in World War Two Norwich. Then, Walter's present day world falls apart. Terrorised by a neighbouring family, who think he's just a senile old codger who's lost his mind, one of the family is found dead in his garden. All the evidence points to Walter being the culprit, and even Sarah and the police can't see any other alternative. Daisy isn't convinced, and sets out to prove otherwise. Then things get even more complicated...   Check out Daisy, and everything else we do, on the new rtgreen website. And enjoy!

When an Earth-shattering secret has two legs, a big mouth, and a blinkered determination to get home by any means necessary, it's up to Daisy and Aidan to stop it happening… by any means necessary! "One of the best cozy mystery series I've ever read!" Come and meet our feisty R.E.D. heroine, and find out why she's such a hit with readers! From feeling like they were back in the eighteenth century, Daisy and Aidan are thrust very much into the twenty-first century. Answering a desperate call for help, they find themselves embroiled in a crazy chase across the county to stop a secret going public that must never hit the front pages. This time the puzzle is the whereabouts of a missing scarecrow, and the question of just how he intends getting 'home'. Our story is different in another, but just as scary a way too. Our intrepid heroes are separated, and neither knows where the other is. For Aidan, an encounter with an old friend proves frighteningly enlightening, while Daisy discovers evidence he could well be in mortal danger, and there isn't a lot of time to save his life… or the situation. Neither of them realise the secret they're chasing is hardly the secret they thought it was. As an ever-increasing number of friends and enemies join the battle for the same pot of gold, the yellow brick road starts to look more like a four-lane highway, and the end of the rainbow seems to be ever further away. Who will be the first to make Emerald City in one piece? With the spoils just out of sight over the horizon, that's anyone's guess! 'The Terrifying Tale of the Homesick Scarecrow' is the fifth book in the hilarious Daisy series, and like the others, is not exactly what you might expect! It's hard to argue with what's right there in front of your eyes. Daisy being Daisy, she's still going to try though!   "One of the best cozy mysteries I've ever read!"   "A real breath of fresh literary air!"   This one is a not-too-serious, tongue-in-cheek summer holiday read. It's designed to make you smile!   A streak of flame spears across the night sky, and moments later something thuds into the ground in a farmer's field just outside Great Wiltingham. Daisy and Aidan go to investigate, but before they can reach the incident, a fleet of black SUV's race past, followed by several army trucks. Turned away before they can see anything useful, it only serves to fire up Daisy's curiosity. The next night they head back to the scene, and discover a temporary building erected in the middle of nowhere, heavily guarded by armed army personnel. Undeterred, they manage to sneak up to the mysterious structure... and then get a lot more than they bargained for! He's not letting go, but then a couple of discoveries in Daisy's present spook her even more. The darker side of MI6 is out to make an example of her, and ensure they're seen to be doing it. The pomp and pageantry has been rehearsed and re-rehearsed, more than a few times, and everything double-double-checked to ensure there are no hiccups or complications. Then, seven days before the big day, one great big complication rears its head. The coronation crown disappears. A news blanket is hastily thrown over the affair, so the general public has no idea the most valuable item in the Crown Jewels isn't where it's supposed to be. Unfortunately, the Metropolitan Police and the SIS have no idea where it is either. Daisy has no part to play in recovering the loot. At least, not officially. When Rupert deWinter visits her unexpectedly, in Daisy's mind it means she has to be more involved, despite being warned not to meddle. When she's told there might be a Norfolk connection, that's her green flag! Someone Daisy once knew is responsible for the theft. He's already been punished, but the crown is still missing. Clutching at straws, the Secret Intelligence Service is sifting through his back-story, talking to anyone and everyone he either knew or once knew. A few days relaxation in an ancient castle on the shores of Lake Lugano in Northern Italy sounds like an opportunity not to be missed for Daisy and Aidan. Until Leonardo da Vinci, a knight in shining armour, and a tale of greed and debauchery rear their ugly heads, that is. Far from relaxing, our RED heroine begins to wonder if they'll even escape with their lives!   "One of the best cozy mysteries I've ever read!" "A real breath of fresh literary air!"   Daisy receives an out of the blue phone call from her one-time neighbour back when they lived in London. Gloria invites her and Aidan to visit their castle in the Italian Lakes for a few days break. Married to an Italian businessman, her husband Marcello inherited the castle a few years ago when his wealthy parents passed away. Now living in the impressive sixteenth-century family residence, Gloria thought they may like to see 'what they've done with the place'. As they travel to Italy, Daisy can't shake off the feeling all is not quite what it seems. She and Gloria have been in touch from time to time, but not had that much contact since they moved away. Her ex-neighbour sounded chirpy on the phone... but perhaps a little too chirpy. Daisy is well aware that sometimes people gush about how happy they are to try and hide just how happy they're not. She says nothing to Aidan, putting it down to her paranoid gut envisioning problems where none exist, and forces herself to look forward to the few days abroad. They've only been in the castle a few hours when Daisy has to admit ignoring her gut feeling was the worst idea ever, realising that what motivated people centuries ago still motivates them today. It's not looking good...   Read about Daisy and our other major series, The Sandie Shaw Mysteries, set in 1920's Chicago, on the new rtgreen website.   And enjoy!

Daisy: The Witch of Scraggy Bottom: Daisy Morrow, #14

Come and meet our Norfolk-based R.E.D. (Retired Extremely Daisy) heroine, as she dives headlong into a spooky tale of witchcraft and dark, dangerous secrets! "One of the best cozy mystery series I've ever read!" "A real breath of fresh literary air!" Scraggy Bottom is the tiny Norfolk hamlet time forgot. It's where Maisie's sister Doris lives, with around fifty others. Nestled in a remote, wooded area, it found itself with a reputation because of the spooky and the unexplained things that seem to happen there. Some of it might be to do with the village's resident white witch, Imelda, who uses her mystical powers to do good things. Sadly for her, one false move and all the good is wiped out in a single minute. In that respect at least, Scraggy Bottom is just the same as everywhere else on the planet. When Maisie returns from visiting her sister with a worried expression on her face, Daisy forces the truth out of her. Imelda is Doris's neighbour, and she's being persecuted because one of her spells took a drastic turn for the worst. Maisie doesn't want to bother her friend, but Daisy begins to suspect there's more to what's going on than meets the eye. Or the crow's foot. Or the jackdaw's wing… Daisy and Aidan decide to ignore the rumours and brave an investigation, but soon after they arrive in the remote hamlet it starts to become clear there's a bubbling cauldron of evil about to boil over. And no one is safe. Check out the entire Daisy series on the brand new rtgreen website. While you're there, have a look at our 1920's historical series too, 'The Sandie Shaw Mysteries'. Take a break from the world around you, just for a while. Relax with a smile (or several!), and a truly original story. Enjoy!

Daisy: Not Your Average Super-Sleuth! The First Bundle: Daisy Morrow
Daisy: Not Your Average Super-Sleuth! The First Bundle: Daisy Morrow

According to Daisy, nothing is ever quite what it seems. In her case, that's the truest thing ever spoken. If you've not met our R.E.D. (Retired Extremely Daisy) heroine yet, the first bundle is a great way to get to know her, and the hit series! Three full books for less than the price of two! Daisy moved to a village a few miles from Kings Lynn in Norfolk a year ago, after a very unfortunate incident in London made her decide village life was the best option. She's adapted to country life quite well, although she rather irreverently refers to the village of Great Wiltingham as the 'place people go to wilt'. She does have a wicked side, after all! Daisy is seventy-one now. But for her, old habits die hard. And for some strange reason, trouble seems to follow her around. It's been a peaceful twelve months settling into village life, but that's about to end... In the first book, after some strange goings-on and a murder in the village, Daisy and Aidan, together with a young police-woman called Sarah, whose curiosity gets the better of her, set about solving the mystery. It all begins with a rose bush, mysteriously uprooted in the middle of the night, that reveals a horrific secret... In the second book, village life has reverted to as normal as it ever gets where Daisy is concerned. Then one morning everything changes, in a very tragic way. To begin with, Daisy believes someone from her past is responsible. Before she retired, she had a job very few people have, after all. But then a clue from a really unexpected source makes her wonder if it might be someone much closer to home. So once again she becomes the worm on the hook, much to Aidan and Sarah's horror. But for Daisy there's no choice, because this time it's just about as personal as it gets… In the third book, following a surprise lead their daughter might have been sold by traffickers to someone in Africa three years ago, Daisy, Aidan and Sarah head for Uganda. But they've only been in the country a few minutes when a mysterious dying man thrusts a note into Daisy's hand. As he gasps his last breath, he begs her not to involve the police. And she suddenly realises there isn't just one, but two mysteries to be solved! The extra mystery deepens as three different people confess to a murder that took place many years ago. But there's a silver lining to solving a case the local police closed in the nineteen-sixties, because it unearths an overgrown path that just might lead them to Celia. A path that could very well end in an international incident! Read all about Daisy, Sandie, and everything else we do, on the spectacular rtgreen website. Enjoy!

Essentially-English, almost-certainly quirky, and definitely a little crazy, come and meet our feisty R.E.D. Moving to the village a few miles from Kings Lynn in Norfolk a year or so ago, after a very unfortunate incident in London, she believed village life was the best option. The Throwback Prequel: When Daisy met Aidan    'When Daisy met Aidan', is an addition to the main Daisy Morrow series, a shorter novella written for fans of the books. If you already know Daisy, you'll realise the day she met Aidan was... well, a little unexpected, to say the least! It's 1981. What started out as just another day for Aidan the junior accountant, turns into the most spectacular day of his life... up to then at least. As he sets off for work on his trusty bicycle, he has no idea of the danger lurking in wait. In his wildest dreams, he could never have imagined where he would end up by the time darkness fell. For Daisy, already working for the SIS, risking her life was an accepted part of her CV. Even then, she could not have foreseen what the day would bring. Or predict a seriously unplanned relationship. come to that! Check out Daisy, and everything else we do, on the brand new rtgreen website. And enjoy!

The RTG mission in life is simple... to not be like everyone else! ‘Going Green’ has taken on a new meaning, in the book world at least. Whilst we applaud the original meaning (ebooks are a perfect way to promote that) we also try to present a different angle to it. The tendency these days is that if you don’t look and read like everyone else, you don’t sell books. Maybe there’s some truth in that, but we simply don’t do it. The RTG books have been described as a ‘breath of fresh literary air’, and, by those discovering us for the first time, ‘unexpectedly good’. We know many readers prefer the same-old same old, and that’s fine. It’s just not what you get from the RTG stable. Those who know about such things said it would take five years to become a proficient author... I scoffed at that. They were wise. It took six. It’s one reason why even today we remodel existing books, and will always do so. Right from the early years the stories were always good, but were put into words less well than they could have been! These days we have several series and a few standalones, the hit Daisy series most popular amongst them. In everything we do, the same provisos apply – Never the same book twice. If we can’t think up a good story, it doesn’t get written. The RTG brand is about exciting and twisty plots, a fast pace which doesn’t waste words, and endearing (sometimes slightly crazy) characters. We can never please everyone, but it works for us, and, it seems, for those who appreciate our work. Enjoy! Richard, Ann and the RTG crew
