About this series
The following is the third of the famous Radio Taiso exercise routines from Japan (two more slightly more vigorous routines are also available from Internal Force Fitness). It is an exercise program that does not discriminate based on age, gender or disability: it is intended for EVERYONE. No matter who you are, or what your limitations are, the EIGHT exercises in this particular routine will be effective in moving ALL parts of your body, leaving you refreshed and revitalised.
With the minimum of changes, ALL these exercises can also be done sitting down, so whether you're a wheelchair user, or just not quite ready for standing exercises, you can make this routine YOURS.
There are some subtle changes to a couple of the exercises (from those that the Japanese might perform), but this is simply to make it easier for complete beginners to follow along and LEARN. "Radio Taiso" simply means "Radio Exercises" and the radio part comes from the musical accompaniment on Japanese radio. The musical accompaniment is not necessary, but some nice relaxing background music makes an excellent addition.

- Radio Taiso: Gentle & Invigorating Daily Exercises: Radio Taiso, #1
1
RAISE your energy levels and encourage good health with this simplified English language version of the famous Radio Taiso calisthenic exercise routine. Whether you are looking to banish early morning aches with gentle stretches to loosen your joints, or you just want something to energise you during the working day, then Radio Taiso could be just the exercise program for you! Exercise routines that can be performed by any age, fitness, and gender for EQUAL benefit are hard to come by. The first Radio Taiso series of exercises however is one such routine. Performed with a nice light rhythm, the aim of these exercises is to allow you to move more easily as you develop well-balanced muscles and nice supple joints throughout your entire body. If you are someone that has tried a range of fitness routines over the years you may not believe that such simple moves could possibly do you any good. At no point do I talk about FATIGUE or FAILURE or any of the buzzwords you might associate with 'working out'. That is because the aim of this exercise routine is simply to raise your energy levels to get you ready for the day ahead AND to assist in keeping you in good physical health.
- Radio Taiso Routine 2: More Exercises for Health & Vitality: Radio Taiso, #2
2
The Internal Force Fitness interpretation of the first Radio Taiso routine emphasized the gentle and invigorating nature of the exercises. This second series of exercises from the Radio Taiso category places an emphasis on muscle STRENGTH. The dynamic movements will encourage strong, flexible muscles and joints, while at the same time promoting overall HEALTH and VITALITY through good blood circulation. Do don't need to purchase all of the books, or purchase them in a particular order. You can learn the Radio Taiso routines in any order you like – or simply pick one and learn it in isolation if you prefer.
- Radio Taiso Routine 3: Revitalising Standing or Sitting Exercises: Radio Taiso, #3
